After lots of unpacking (of course I overpacked per usual) I was ready to take a break and went up to the school. I ran into Bonnie’s room and completly forgot that she would be in the middle of teaching. I practically tackeled her I was so excited to be reunited!!!

Anyways the kids got really excited and I was surprised by how many remembered me. The best was this one boy that I worked with everyday who said “wait your that one girl from that one place” um yes that one place is AMERICA. I suddenly felt extremely overwhelmed by all the kids and all of their crazy questions. Then another boy started drilling me about American sports (this kid is no joke about 6 feet tall). He was asking me about the NBA finals and was acting all upset that the heat lost when really I bet he didn’t even watch the game (I saw it being replayed today…3 days after). But it was just so funny listening to them and their accents.

It felt so good to be back and I am REALLY EXCITED to start subbing there tomorrow. I am sure I will have some great stories to tell.

Great showing by the Alley family on Skype today. Debs did a great job of calling everyone to make sure I could chat with everyone. It was lovely to see all your faces and fill you in on my adventures. Miss and Love you guys!!

The best part was by far watching Brooke try to grab me through the computer. So happy to see that she remembered me even though I was scrubbed out and a little jet lagged still.

Qantas is by far the best airlines ever! I guess I should start with my flight to LA. It felt long because the entire time I just kept thinking…this flight is nothing compared to the big one. I attempted to watch How I Met Your Mother DVDS on my computer but that was a bit of a fail considering my computer is massive and the little amount of space at my seat was not much. But I survived and then it was time to wait for my next flight. I had an awkward dinner by myself at Chili’s To Go in the airport. Lucky for me it was the 4th quarter of the NBA finals game and my table was seated right by the bar. So I got to watch the Mavs dominate! Of course I was cheering for them for many reasons, most importantly because I know more people that live in Dallas versus Miami.

My flight to Australia was pretty good, there was an open seat next to me so it was nice to get to stretch out a little more. I watched a couple of movies and was REAL excited to see that there were GLEE and Modern Family episodes so I watched a bunch of those. Tylenol PM was a bit of a fail for me, but I did manage to sleep on and off for about 4 hours. I took my dads advice and walked around and drank lots of water so that definitly helped. I got two meals, chicken and veges for dinner and then eggs in the morning. Both were pretty good for an airplane but still really small and flavorless.

Once I landed and went through finding my bags and customs (worst part of traveling out of the country) I was greeted with by my AUSSIE family and it made the long trip well worth it. I was SO HAPPY to see them again. It really felt like nothing had changed and we had a great time catching up in the car ride home.

Tomorrow the journey begins again, back to AUSTRALIA!!! I never thought the day would come where I would get the opportunity to go back to my second home. Who would have thought that a year after returning home I would be going back to Australia again. I feel so blessed to be going back and am so excited for what is in store this time around! Long day ahead tomorrow, better enjoy sleeping in a bed tonight!!
